Arterial Blood Gas (Test)

Testing of arterial blood for the amount of dissolved oxygen (pO2) and dissolved carbon dioxide (pCO2) in the blood.  The test includes the blood pH and bicarbonate levels.  In some laboratories, a measurement of oxygen saturation of the blood hemoglobin is included in the measurements.
