A form of dementia that results from the accumulation of Lewy Bodies in cells in the central nervous system. It is associated with cognitive problems, hallucinations, movement disorders, sleep disorders and other symptoms. It occurs primary in older individuals and accounts for about 30% of all patients diagnosed with dementia (5% of the population).
