(EEG) – The EEG is a measurement of electrical activity of the brain. It is performed by placing sensitive electrodes on the skin of the scalp to measure the electrical activity generated by the brain. This technique is used to measure the presence of sleep, the depth of sleep, and the change in sleep pattern and is essential to measuring sleep architecture.
